By now everyone should be away that Chrome OS is intended by Google to be a primarily internet-based operating system. We are all presuming that this will mean much of the data and applications will be backed up and accessed via the internet. As of right now, this isn’t something the consumer market has seen in terms of operating systems (save Palm’s Web OS for the Pre). The fact that Google is an extremely large and reputable name to attach is only another variable which is thrown into the equation.
